The job in short
As a Senior Global Strategic Alliances Manager, you are responsible for creating new alliance engagements and will bring existing alliances to a strategic level. The purpose is to achieve significant impact on the Backbase license growth, market leadership position and customer success. You establish alliances with leading Strategy & Digital Consulting partners (e.g. McKinsey & Co., Boston Consulting Group, Publicis Sapient, etc.). You ensure a shared vision and evangelize joint thought leadership within such firms and to mutual (prospective) clients. You create joint solution blueprints for supporting clients in the digital ecosystem.

In the end of the day, you empower our strategy and digital consulting partners in delivering accelerated digital banking advice and solutions to their clients. You enable partners to accurately match Backbase capabilities to their client needs. Hence, Backbase becoming short-listed, receiving RfPs and/or being recommended as the most viable solution to their clients. You do this by ensuring Backbase to become part of their ecosystem and create a sound Backbase understanding within: be embedded in their network of external platforms, partners, and providers.
You conduct business development on strategic, executive levels and oversee execution through the regional partner development and direct sales teams. You will report to the Global Director of Partner Business.
Create deep working relationships with Strategy and/or Digital Consulting firms, embedding Backbase as best-in-class solution in their practices and ecosystem.
Be the strategic thought leader in business transformation for banking empowered by digital innovation.
Ensure a deep understanding of Backbase technologies, platforms, and solutions. Work with Backbase solution engineering to combine this with the partners’ knowledge and experience.
Allow consulting partners' clients to quickly identify and evaluate Backbase as solution provider: position Backbase as category leader in omni-channel digital banking.
Work side-by-side with partner consultants/architects who work with clients to optimize the way innovative digital banking solutions are architected and implemented so that clients can get the greatest value.
How about you?
Bachelor's or Master's degree in business, preferably an MBA
8+ years of relevant experience
Background in strategy and/or digital consultancy for Banking. And/or,
Experienced in Sales and working with Strategy and/or Digital Consulting firms
Exceptional thought leadership, organizational, presentation, and communication skills – both verbal and written (English)
