As Partner Development Manager, you drive the Backbase expansion in Africa. You ensure optimal partner coverage by developing new partners that you decide are worth investing in upon your analysis.
  • 3+ years of relevant experience;
  • Background in digital agency and/or enterprise software;
  • Experience in Sales and working with various partner types (System Integration, Strategy & Digital Consulting firms, Cloud players, etc.);
  • Sales and/or Partner Management experience within Financial Services and/or Banking sectors
  • Fluent in English, verbal and written

THE JOB AT BACKBASE

You will guide new partners to a strategic level and manage their onboarding journey of becoming an authorized partner. You will also support the Regional Partner Business Manager for Middle-East & Africa in bringing existing strategic and Premier partnerships to newer heights. Day to day you plan, manage and drive execution of partner sales readiness, orchestrate their enablement and track the status of sales cycles and implementation projects. Partner relationships range from Strategy and Digital Consulting players to those in System Integration and Technology. You provide consistent communication with partners throughout the contract lifecycle and escalate important issues when needed. In collaboration with the Regional Sales, Partner Business and Customer Success management, you will drive strategy, pipeline management, and confirm partner capabilities prior to signing deals. In an effort to facilitate alignment between the partner, sales and customer success teams, you will ensure target account nomination and opportunity planning for achieving joint license and service wins. apply now

SALES 

For the size of the organization (850+ people), we have a rather small Global Sales team, counting around 60 Sales Representatives in 11 offices across the world. Our SVP of Sales (located in Amsterdam HQ) is leading the team and strategy. Together with Regional Sales Directors and their teams of Account Executives and Business Development Representatives, they are responsible for achieving the yearly revenue and customer acquisition goals. 

The majority of the Sales team is based in our Amsterdam HQ but we also have small local sales teams based in the US ( Atlanta & Princeton), Frankfurt, Mexico, Dubai, Singapore, Japan, India and Australia which helps us to be closer and stay relevant to the clients in the area.
