As Head of Marketing Americas you are a key member of the Americas leadership team and responsible for the Americas growth engine, executing our account-based marketing strategy, elevating our brand and awareness in the market and positioning Backbase as the thought leader for Engagement Banking in all our go-to-market segments (Banks and Credit Unions). You thrive on empowering and growing a passionate team as a player/coach, helping them raise the bar while growing their careers and doing their best work ever.
  • You have 5+ years of experience in a role of similar scope of leadership and responsibility;
  • You have B2B SaaS experience essential. Bonus: a deep understanding of the Fintech landscape and ecosystem. However, a can-do mentality is of more importance than many years of experience;
  • You have excellent strategic marketing planning skills, and know how to bring a compelling marketing plan into execution with your team, aligned with the sales teams;
  • You have deep experience with Account-based Marketing at scale;
  • You have a good understanding and experience with the modern marketing stack, which includes Salesforce, Marketo, LinkedIn and various PPC channels relevant in reaching B2B audiences;
  • You are a proven people leader who empowers others, holds them accountable, and gains satisfaction from their success. You bring solid experience recruiting, growing and coaching team members into the next generation of leaders;
  • You have proven experience in setting priorities in response to changes in market and strategy and creating/driving a strategic, growth-oriented agenda;
  • You bring creative and brand leadership. You’re detail-oriented and coach your team to push deliverables from good to great;
  • You are street smart and digital savvy. Proven to be able to do more with less. A true team player, hands-on and self-motivated, able to drive progress and hit deadlines with your team;
  • You know how to “own the room” when you represent the Americas marketing team while being your authentic self in how you motivate and influence others;
  • You have the ability to keep a calm head under pressure with a can-do, solution-focused attitude;
  • You thrive on working in a fast-paced environment; comfortable working on multiple projects in multiple time zones, while collaborating with multiple cultures;
  • You have excellent English speaking, writing, and presentation skills, as well as the ability to persuade, inspire, and motivate others. Bi-lingual is a plus (English / Spanish).

  • Team Leadership - you are responsible for building a high-impact Marketing team through coaching, mentoring and recruitment.   • Go-to-market Strategy - Based on the annual go-to-market strategy and sales plan, you drive the vision, strategy and execution with your team for the Americas region, in alignment with your sales leadership peers.   • Brand Awareness & Thought Leadership - To accelerate our impact in the market, you drive the Backbase PR, awareness, storytelling, thought leadership and brand perception activities with your team to ensure Backbase is top-of-mind and strongly positioned for the target segments we’re focused on winning.
  • Demand Generation - you are responsible for driving the demand generation engine of the Americas region with your team, optimizing all our PPC efforts as well as engagement and conversion of our website. In doing so, you collaborate with the global team for support.
  • Account-based Marketing - you lead integrated Account-based Marketing programs with your team in alignment with the sales leadership to reach their ambitious goals. You know how to drive scalable best-practices into the execution of your team.
  • Stakeholder Management - with your stakeholder management skills, you constantly seek strong alignment with regional sales leadership, as well as with field marketing leadership in your team, to ensure your teams are set up for success. You stay connected with the global objectives and initiatives coming from the HQ team.

    North America is one of our high-growth markets and home to our Atlanta product implementation hub. Five years ago we started with less than 6 employees in a small corner space. Now, we’ve grown into a close-knit team of over 100+ employees occupying two spacious and inviting office suites. This is Backbase North America’s Headquarters.
