The job in short
What’s your dream?
You want to make an impact on people’s life. Not just give training, but really help them to master new skills. You don’t want to limit yourself to just one company, just one country - you want to spread your wings!
You love to “mix & match” a bit, you like coding, but don’t want to get stuck behind a computer all the time, you also love working with people, but don’t want to lose touch with the actual thing you’re teaching.
You want to be part of the next wave, not getting stuck in old technologies but master what they use in FinTech companies and market leaders worldwide.
You love to be part of a team of people that work together to make this happen.
Meet the job
A week in your life
Your week is never the same. Sometimes you fly to an exotic place to give a classroom training, sometimes you sit with senior people from the product or project team and create new training material and sometimes you join a project to really get hands-on experience.
One of our trainers wrote a blog, here you can see how his week looked like.
How about you?
● You’re good at:
MVC & webservice based architecture (REST, RAML)
● Extra Awesome:
Making slick presentations
Have crazy ideas that revolutionize education
Mix teaching with learning, joining projects and improving the product
● What we don’t care about:
Your gender, age, religion, color of your hair, sexual orientation etc.
Your work experience in Finance. You’ll quickly pick up and discover that it’s quite fascinating.
Whether you’re introvert or extravert. Most famous people on stage are introverts anyway.
Your command of Dutch - we speak English.
What’s the next step?
We’ll be honest: it’s quite a tough interview process. We give people a lot of freedom, but only if we both feel you’re up to it. We look for the right foundation skills, but are mostly interesting in the right DNA match and your potential to learn.
A recruiter contacts you, explains the job, asks what inspires you and does a precheck.
You get a technical test, a small exercise that you have to code yourself.
A remote interview with a trainer, running through your experience, the test and checks the mutual match.
An on-site role play. Give a class - we love to see who you really are instead of how you look on paper. Attending are also somebody from professional services as we promote job rotation.
Final interview with the Head of training and VP academy. Agree on contract.
