  • Fluent in Japanese and English.
  • A solid track record of 5+ years in a relevant quota-carrying role within enterprise software sales with a focus on new business.
  • A proven track record of achieving and exceeding set sales targets: a “closer”.
  • Ability to develop strong relationships quickly and to communicate effectively at all levels of prospect organisations including C-level and internally across the business.
  • Demonstrated ability to articulate the business value of complex enterprise technology.
  • Experience in leading and presenting to c-level executives.
  • Availability to travel.

  • Full ownership of the sales cycle from lead to close.
  • Proactively build your target prospect list by qualifying and developing a sales pipeline, and develop a sales strategy in your assigned territory.
  • Building strong and effective relationships, resulting in growth opportunities.
  • Pipeline management, sales process management including effective forecasting and opportunity closure.
  • Tailoring our Backbase value proposition to prospects based on in-depth research of specific business conditions and drivers and conducting initial product demonstrations.
  • Participate in our sales enablement trainings, including our comprehensive Sales Bootcamp, advanced sales training, and leadership and development programs.
  • Work closely with the Professional Services team to achieve customer satisfaction.
  • Working closely with our Field Marketing team to conduct seminars, trade shows and other marketing related events.

    For the size of the organization (850+ people), we have a rather small Global Sales team, counting around 60 Sales Representatives in 11 offices across the world. Our SVP of Sales (located in Amsterdam HQ) is leading the team and strategy. Together with Regional Sales Directors and their teams of Account Executives and Business Development Representatives, they are responsible for achieving the yearly revenue and customer acquisition goals. 

    The majority of the Sales team is based in our Amsterdam HQ but we also have small local sales teams based in the US ( Atlanta & Princeton), Frankfurt, Mexico, Dubai, Singapore, Japan, India and Australia which helps us to be closer and stay relevant to the clients in the area.
